Step 8Lessons
In this step, we will rotate the letters of a word. This may be the hardest part of annotate because you have to get the letters positioned just so. It takes some practice to learn just what parameters to use to get your text positioned exactly where you want it. Keep using your back key to change the numbers in "location" (offset).

Bring in your image to IM and click "annotate". Put a color number in, chose a font, use 30 for "pointsize". Lets put a line across first. In the text box, type in a hyphen about 10 times, chosing "center". Click "annotate".

We will put a word on the line now. Go up and click annotate again. Type in these letters: ( f a l l i ) in the text box--not the parenthesis, just the letters. The word will be "falling" when we're done. Put in a color. Chose "Northwest, +115+52 in location or (offset). Click "annotate". You will see the letters on the line.

Go up and click on "annotate". Delete the falli that is in there and type in the letter n. Keep it at northwest, and type in +205+54. Go down and type in +15 in the rotate box. Click "annotate". Now you have the n rotating off the line a little.

Go up and click "annotate" again. Delete the n and type in g. Type in +225+68 in the location box. Put +25 in the rotate box, click annotate and this is how it looks.  rotate
